PUBLIC NOTICE – VILLAGE OF WELLSVILLE
Pursuant to Public Service Law 89-c(10) and 16 NYCRR
720-8.1, the Village of Wellsville Municipal Utilities Electric Department
hereby provides notice that the rate request filed in April 2017, closing Rate
Case 14-E-0083, with the New York State Public Service Commission has been
approved as amended. This second stage filing was made at the conclusion of the
Vossler substation capital project and the effective date was September 18th,
2017. This order increases base rates by 5.9%, or 4.09% of total revenues. For
a typical resident using 750kwh per month their bill would be $39.40 (compares
to over $100 with any other area provider). Rate Filing is available for
viewing in the Village Board Room at 156 North Main Street, Wellsville, NY 14895.
