Wellsville Drug Bust - Four People Arrested

Following a lengthy investigation Wellsville Police arrested four people after a search warrant was executed at a residence on Seneca Street in the Village of Wellsville.  Police report the arrest of Diane R. Newsome, age 19 of Wellsville, charging her with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (Class B Felony), Zackery D. Truax, age 23 of Wellsville, charging him with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (Class B Felony) and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd (Class B Felony),

Christopher C. White, age 25 of Wellsville, charging him with Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument and Joey L. Traylor, age 24 of Wellsville, charging him with Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument.  The charges stem from an investigation conducted by the Wellsville Police Department, the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (C-NET).  Newsome and Truax were arraigned before Wellsville Village Judge O’Connor.  Newsome was committed to the Allegany County Jail on $10,000.00 cash bail or $20,000.00 property bond.  Truax was committed to the Allegany County Jail on $15,000.00 cash bail or $30,000.00 property bond.  Newsome and Truax are due back in Wellsville Village Court on October 17th at 4:30 p.m.  White and Traylor were issued appearance tickets and released.  White is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on November 14th at 4:30 p.m.  Traylor is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on October 24th at 4:30 p.m.
