Thomas W. Richardson “beloved father, son, and brother”
COUDERSPORT---Thomas W. “Tom” Richardson, 51, of
Coudersport, PA, formerly of Ardentown, DE, passed away unexpectedly in his
home on Sunday, October 1, 2017. Born on September 2, 1966 in Chester, PA, he was the son of
William L. Richardson, Sr. and Marie L. Kindt Richardson. He attended Garnet Valley High School in Concordville, PA.
and was employed as a tank truck driver for several years until retiring due to
health reasons. Tom was the president of the Resident Committee at the
Mapleview Apartments and was the “self-appointed” decorator for each
season. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and
stress-relieving art therapy. Tom was a kind man who would often drive his
fellow neighbors to doctor’s appointments or to go shopping. His greatest joy in life was making others
happy and being with his beloved family, including his dog Hollie.
Thomas is survived by his mother, Marie L. “Dolly”
Richardson of Coudersport, PA; two daughters, Renee Kurten of Media, PA, and
Amber Richardson of Ardentown, DE; a son, Thomas W. Richardson, Jr.; a brother,
William L. (Linda) Richardson of Twin Oaks, PA; a sister, Kate M. (Jeffrey)
Reynold of Roulette, PA; grandchildren, Leeann and Seanna Forbes; and several
nieces and nephews. Tom was predeceased by his father.
Friends may call from 5 to 6 p.m. on Friday, October 20,
2017 at North Eulalia Baptist Church, 683 Route 49 East, Coudersport, where a
celebration of Tom’s life will follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor Michael C. Reeves,
officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Tom’s name to
Teacher’s Pet Rescue, 19 Blackberry Lane, Coudersport, PA 16915 or to North
Eulalia Baptist Church, 693 Route 49 East, Coudersport, PA 16915.
Tom’s family has entrusted his care to the Virgil L. Howard
Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
