Portageville --- Julius J. Good of 7942 Wiscoy Road, died
Friday, September 15, 2017 in his home. He was born on February 4, 1926 in
Preston, Connecticut, a son of the late Anthony and Francis Cudish Good. He
married Lorelei Thoma who predeceased him on January 1, 2001. Julius was a
veteran of the United States Army. He was a lifelong dairy farmer and started
farming with his brother as a partner with the Good Brothers’ Farm in
Connecticut and later moved to Portageville to start his own dairy farm, New
Dawn Farm, in 1974 and retired in 1993. He loved to farm, plant trees and garden. Surviving
are his children, Douglas (Sheila Largey) Good, Laura Watson and Michelle (Lee
Ann) Good all of Portageville, three grandchildren, Amanda, James, and Dillon,
a great-granddaughter, Gracelynn, three sisters, Rose Snurkowski of Preston,
Conn., Sophie Bogner of Vollentown, Conn., Mary (John) Podurgiel of Preston,
Conn. and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents he
was predeceased by a son Michael Good, two brothers, Victor and John Good and a
sister, Julie Good. At Julius’s request there will be no services. Burial will
be in Assumption Cemetery, Portageville. Charitable donations may be made in
