Cuba Police Chief Dustin Burch says charges will be filed against a driver involved in a deadly crash on Labor Day.
Police said Paul Nigro, 62 of Williamsville died in the crash that happened at the intersection of State Route 305 and Keller Hill Road. Burch said a full size pick-up truck was waiting to turn onto Keller Hill when the vehicle was struck from behind by a second full size truck. The impact caused the lead truck to lunge forward, striking Nigro. Burch said the State Police Regional Crime Lab is analyzing vehicle computers and the Accident Reconstruction report has not yet been finalized. Burch said once those reports have been received, he "expects charges" to be filed against the operator of the second truck. The Chief said the identity of the lead truck won't be released, calling the operator "a victim." However, Burch said information on the other driver will be released once charges are formally placed. Police would only say that the driver to be charged is "from the Allegany County area."
