Belmont man, convicted of 1st degree rape, headed to state prison
A Belmont man who raped a woman in Belmont last year is
headed to prison. Johnny Matison, 42, of Fairview Avenue was sentenced Tuesday
in Allegany County Court to two years in state prison. He'll also serve three
years post release supervision, pay a $325 surcharge and $50 DNA fee and must
pay a sex offender fee of $1,000. Based online reports,
Matison was indicted last year on four counts of first-degree rape, a class B
felony. At the
time, reports say, Prosecutors said Matison engaged in sexual intercourse with
another person by force Sept. 8 in Belmont.
