Potter County Natural Gas Resource Center Revitalized
Potter
County’s award-winning Natural Gas Resource Center (NGRC) is being revitalized
after becoming largely inactive during the extended shale gas drilling slowdown.
An advisory committee will be appointed, comprised of environmental,
educational, business and government representatives. Potter County Education
Council oversaw the NGRC for several years. The new plan calls for the county’s
Planning Department and the new Community Development Department to administer
the center, under the supervision of the commissioners. A new website is under
construction and details will be announced in the coming weeks.
