On March 19, 2017, Troopers arrested Robert Bishop, 68, of Andover, NY for Driving While Intoxicated.
Troopers responded to a traffic complaint of one car almost hitting another head-on on East Greenwood Street in the Village of Andover. The vehicle and operator were located at a nearby residence. While the driver Robert Bishop was being interviewed, the odor of an alcoholic beverage was allegedly detected. Field Tests were conducted, which police said Bishop subsequently failed. He was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to SP Amity where he recorded a 0.17% BAC. He was released on tickets and is due in Andover Village Court on 4/10/17 at 9:00 a.m.
