Vote March 21st for Village Trustees
Bonnie Golish and Mark Holt
Dear Andover Resident,
We want to ask for your support in the upcoming Village of Andover election that will be held on Tuesday, March 21. Your polling place is the Andover Town Hall, 22 East Greenwood Street, Andover. Polls are open from 12 noon to 9:00 pm.
We are Democratic candidates asking to continue serving on your Village Board of Trustees. We support the following initiatives for the betterment of Andover:
· TAXES: We vow to exhaust every possibility and explore efficiencies to avoid increasing taxes on village property owners and businesses.
· SERVICES: Explore shared services with nearby local governments, but only where it makes sense, provides cost savings to Andover, and provides the same or better services to Andover residents.
· INFRASTRUCTURE: Seek grants and outside funding and resources to improve Andover’s infrastructure, including streets, sidewalks, and a sewer or wastewater system necessary to allow economic growth and development.
· GOVERNMENT: Provide responsive, accountable, efficient and effective village government. We always welcome your thoughtful ideas.
We would like the opportunity to continue working on important tasks the Village Board of Trustees is currently addressing, including: developing job descriptions and implementing performance appraisals for all village employees; creating realistic budgets for which department managers can be held accountable; and continuing to apply for grants for outside funding.
As Trustees on the Village Board we are frequently presented with complex problems and situations. The biggest challenge comes when we have to develop realistic solutions within our financial constraints. It requires a calm, thoughtful approach to develop the partnerships and obtain the resources we need to address the challenges and maintain the many good things we have here in the Village of Andover. With your support on March 21st, we can continue that approach. We also ask that you reelect Mayor David Truax for a second term. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Bonnie Golish, Trustee
Mark Holt, Trustee
