Wellsville: Fleischman, Osgood honored by ambulance service

Members of the Wellsville Volunteer Ambulance Corps took a break Saturday evening to reflect, unwind and honor. The ambulance corps annual banquet was held in the village. Paramedic John "Flash" Fleischman of Wellsville received the Chester Weaver Memorial Member of the Year award. The retired deputy sheriff has served in emergency medical services for more than four decades. He is a familiar voice on the scanner with handles of Chief 101 and Medic 700.
Also honored Saturday night was member Jason Osgood. He received the Chris Eldridge Memorial Award, also known as the "chief's award." Osgood was acknowledged for his dedicated service to and response for the organization. We hope to have an updated post with additional information from the ceremony. Thanks volunteers...
