Hills begins their annual “Adopt-a-Camper” Campaign.
Gil's Hills Ministries, Inc. is a
501(c)(3) not-for-profit, faith-based ministry located on Brown Rd. in
Wellsville, NY. Our property consists of over 120 acres of beautiful, wooded
hills, a boating pond, gymnasium, small cafeteria, rustic cabins and teen loft
hangout.
Gil's
Hills offers summer camps, after-school programs, and hunting, hiking and canoe
trips completely free of charge to the students of Allegany County and beyond.
Any students between the ages of 7 and 17 are welcome at our camp retreats and
after-school clubs.
Children
and their families are never charged for any of our camps or clubs. We rely
completely on the generous donations from our community to provide our
services, which is why last year, we began our annual “Adopt-a-Camper”
Campaign.
It costs
roughly $100 to cover a camper’s expenses for our 3-night summer camps. This includes
food, a t-shirt, craft supplies and field trips for the week. Last year, Gil’s
hosted 99 youth for summer camp retreats. This summer will have 4 different
camp sessions and each one is expected to be full.

For those interested in supporting the ministry
in other ways, we always appreciate prayers for our youth,
volunteers and camp staff. Upcoming, we also have our annual Gil’s Hills
buildings and grounds clean-up day at the end of May. We use this day to
get the campus ready for our summer campers. We have tasks for all ages and
abilities. Those interested in attending can contact our director, Scott
