On March 28th, 2024, the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office held their annual awards ceremony at the Genesee Valley School Auditorium. Dignitaries in attendance were: Congressman Langworthy represented by special assistant Lee James, Assemblyman Joe Giglio represented by Joe Sempolinski, Retired Sheriff Rick Whitney, County Legislator Adam Cyr and ACSO Chaplain Alan Mertsock.
The Allegany County Sheriff’s Office annual awards ceremony is meant to recognize our staff who have gone above and beyond in their roles. We will also recognize recent promotions and those who have reached milestones in longevity with our office. Recipients have demonstrated a commitment to excellence and have shown a level of dedication that must be recognized and rewarded.
The following Sheriff’s Office employees have reached longevity milestones with our office.
Corrections
Officer Randy Cole, 20 years of service.

Recent promotions are as follows:
Jessica Cady, promoted to
Corporal. Jess has been with our office since 2014. Jess is also assisting us
this year with the Sheriff’s summer camp. She is also a Corrections Emergency Response
Team (CERT) member and a Field Training Officer (FTO)
Cory Fanton, promotion to
corporal. Cory has been with us since 2013. Cory is also an FTO and a member of
the CERT Team
Nate Broughton, promotion to
corporal. Nate has been with us since 2009. He is also a Jail Intelligence
Officer
Dylan Baker, promotion to
corporal. Dylan has been with us since 2017. He is also the CERT Team Leader
and FTO
