Wiscoy - Rev. Frank Maynard MacLaughlin of 6377 Wiscoy-Mills-Mills Road went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 31, 2020 in Wyoming County Community Hospital, Warsaw. He was born on December 12, 1929 in Rockland, Maine, a son of the late James D. and Inez L. MacLaughlin. He married Wilma Hall who predeceased him on March 9, 2016.
Frank was a veteran of the United States Army serving as a Radio Operator during the Korean War. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Houghton College and was a lifelong pastor for numerous area churches including churches in Warsaw, Ransomville, Hornell and Caneadea.
He was a former member of the Lion’s Club and Moose Club. Frank enjoyed quilting, planting flowers in his gardens and most of all singing his beloved hymns.
Surviving is a daughter, Colleen Thivierge of Tennessee, a daughter in law, Patricia MacLaughlin, Frank and Rhonda MacLaughlin who cared for him for many years, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents he was predeceased by a son, Phillip MacLaughlin in 2013, a daughter, Karla Washburn in 2011 and all of his brothers and sisters.
Family and friends may gather from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 8, 2021 at the Kopler-Williams Funeral Home, 21 N. Genesee Street, Fillmore where a funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Craig Buelow, pastor of the Caneadea United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Fillmore.
