Wellsville: Jones Memorial Hospital schedules blood drive for April 24th

WELLSVILLE, NY (April 20, 2020) – The COVID-19 pandemic has caused unprecedented challenges to the blood supply. Social distancing and isolation have led to the cancellation of blood drives. But you know what hasn’t been cancelled? The need for blood and blood products. This is a call for eligible donors. Will you answer?
The Community Blood Bank is holding a mobile blood drive on Friday, April 24 in the parking lot at Jones Memorial Hospital from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Appointments are encouraged and can be made by calling 814-456-4206. Blood drives are NOT viewed as a mass gathering.
In light of the current situation, donors are required to wear a face covering – a mask, bandana, or scarf – when presenting to donate. In addition, temperatures will be taken before donors are allowed into the mobile unit and the number of donors will be limited at any given time, which is why an appointment is an excellent idea.
If you have any questions or would like to make an appointment for this drive in Wellsville, please call 814-456-4206.
