FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
ACCORD Corporation and the Allegany County Office of Emergency Management and Fire, in partnership with Foodlink, will be offering a FREE FOOD DISTRIBUTION DRIVE THROUGH on Thursday, April 9, 2020, at the Rushford Labor Day Grounds, 9096 W. Branch Rd., Farmersville Station, NY, from 2:00p.m.-5:00p.m. or until food is gone.
Foodlink will provide 300 prepacked boxes: Each family will get one box with the same items and the same amount.
No one will be permitted to pick up a food box for another family. If you are ill or unable to go out of your home, you must preregister to reserve a food box for delivery or pick up at a later date.
All guests must practice social distancing by remaining in their vehicles with their windows up. Volunteer staff will register guests and load food in cars.
All guests must provide I.D.– Guests must stay in their vehicles and hold their I.D. up to window (I.D.: anything that has an address, so volunteers can record zip code.)
Guests must have their trunk cleaned out so the food can be put into it; this is a no-touch distribution and volunteers cannot put food into the back seat. Guests may drive away once trunk is closed and tapped.
Please follow signs and volunteer directions as you pull into the Rushford Labor Day Park. Stay on the pavement.
Food will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. We cannot guarantee enough food for all attending.
All guests must be 18 or older to accept food; no one over 18 will be turned away, as long as we have food to begiven.
There are no geographic or income limits.
