ALMOND-Jeffery C. Breed, 58, of Karr Valley Road, passed
away Wednesday (Nov. 13, 2019) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, after
a short illness.
Born in New York City
on Nov. 10, 1961, he was a son of the late Clifford and Beatrice Breed. Besides
his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother, Clifford “Pat” Breed. A resident of the Hornell area for most of his life, Jeff was a graduate of Hornell High School.
He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army and was stationed in Tennessee and Germany. Jeff was awarded the Army Commendation Medal with 1 bronze oak leaf cluster, the Army Achievement Medal with 1 bronze oak leaf cluster, the Good Conduct Medal, the NCO Professional Development Ribbon, the Army Service ribbon, the Overseas service ribbon, the Driver and Mechanic Badge with Operator S bar and the Expert Badge with Auto Rifle Bar.
Also affectionately
known as “Breeder”, he was employed as a mechanic for Lamac’s ProWrench Tire
& Auto and Covered Wagon in Hornell, Gardner’s Auto Body in Almond and was
presently employed with the NYSDOT in Hornell.
Jeff was a member of
the Hornell Moose Lodge No. 210 and the Almond Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed
motorcycles, guns, 4 wheeling and spending time on his computer.
His loving family
includes three daughters, Alicia Walsh of Alabama, Jessica Breed of Hornell and
Kaitlyn Edell of Canisteo; three granddaughters, Kiley Walsh of Greenwood,
Alexa Breed of Alabama and Madilyn Edell of Canisteo.

family of Jeffrey C. Breed.
There will be no
calling hours. A committal service with military honors will be held at the
convenience of his family at Bath National Cemetery. Online condolences or
