Allegany County Legislature approves 2020 budget, after last-minute change

Unwilling to accept a tax rate increase, Allegany County Legislators made some 11th hour changes to the proposed 2020 budget. The net result was a tiny tax decrease, instead of a tiny tax increase. Here's the last-minute resolution that was offered from the floor by the Ways & Means Committee:

The resolution was supported unanimously and approved. Lawmakers also approved Edna Kayes as the new Commissioner of Social Services, effective December 1st.
