Obituary: David Edwin Mott, 79, Almond

Almond - David Edwin Mott, 79, of Union St., passed away Thursday (December 6, 2018) at his home.
Born in Punxsutawney, PA, August 26, 1939, the son of Donald and Lula Mae (Borger) Mott, he had spent his childhood years in the Alfred Station Area and then spent 26 years with the US Airforce, returning to Almond around 2000. David was a member of the Almond Union of Churches and the Fraternal Order of Police. He enjoyed sports especially football. When his children were growing up he would often coach their sports teams and for a while he umpired baseball games.
He was predeceased by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Christine of Almond, 2 sons; Donald (Janet) Mott of Nashville, Tennessee and Robert (Marde) Mott of Richmond, Virginia, 2 daughters; Anne (John) Mattie of Monument, Colorado and Wendy (Richard) Curulla of Virginia Beach, Virginia, 2 step-daughters; Donna Kay of Cornelius, Oklahoma and Kathy Jo (Jon) Hughes of Almond, 6 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren.

The family will observe a private funeral service at a later date. Burial will be in Crown Crest Cemetery, Clearfield, Pennsylvania.
