For the last ten months, The (Batavia) Daily News has been digging for answers about a murder in Wyoming County. Sheriff's Sergeant Joe Mlyniec shot and killed his young lover, Robert “Robbie” Irvine III. Irvine wasn't the only man Mlyniec had lured. An investigation by The Daily News shows that list may extend to Allegany County.

Mlyniec thought his activities were secret, but as the newspaper uncovered, 'everybody in Perry knew.'
