The Almond Volunteer Fire Department is getting ready to show off it's new tanker, all while attempting to attract new members. The volunteer agency will hold an open house and recruitment drive on April 28th from 1-4 p.m. There will be free food and drinks, equipment demonstrations and information of fire safety. Fire department members will be on hand to answer questions about what it takes to become a firefighter.
The event will be occurring the same time as the Greg Norton Memorial Park Benefit Blowout, so there will be plenty to do in Almond on April 28th.
