9 Sheriff Whitney and JA Ivers spoke to the Belmont Senior Citizens group on
the Sheriff’s Office and Jail operations.

15 Sheriff Whitney gave an Active Shooter presentation to the Hallsport
Christian Church
*On January
16 our CERT Team conducted a facility shakedown. 57 Inmates were double locked
for minor rule violations and 2 inmates were arrested (one for damaging county
property and one for contraband)

21-24 Sheriff Whitney attended the New York State Sheriff’s Association Winter Conference
in Albany and was elected Sgt. at Arms of the Association.

29-30 Sheriff Whitney and Jail Administrator Ivers attend the NYSAC Conference
in Albany, attending the Public Safety meeting and two workshops
(Implementation of Raise the Age) and (County Solutions to Mental Illness in
the Criminal Justice System)
*The Civil
Division served 116 civil processes and collected various undertakings totaling
$65,991.99 December 23, 2017 through January 23, 2018.
