There will be some disruption in the Town of Wellsville government. Town supervisor Donald "Tink" LaForge announced that he will submit his resignation from office on Wednesday during the organization meeting. When asked by Wellsville Regional New if he intends to resign, LaForge said "I do." He said that after a work transfer from Wellsville to Olean, he just "can't do a lot of events"...He added that he is not doing taxpayers justice." LaForge said he plans to appoint Mike Miller to post Wednesday night.
LaForge admitted exclusively that "I won't miss it."
"Tink" served on the village board, as mayor and then town supervisor. He did admit to us that he has issues with department heads." LaForge said he told Republican leaders that he has work issues, but they encouraged him to seek office.
LaForge works for Siemen's International, as a Senior Analyst. LaForge said he is proud of what the town has accomplished and encourages future growth.
Who will serve as the town leader still remains under review.
