Jeffrey C. Resch: Husband, Son, Brother, and Friend
Jeffrey C. Resch, 52, of 231 Callan Rd., Leroy, and formerly
of Cuba passed away unexpectedly, Friday, September 29, 2017 at home. Born on
August 7, 1965, in Cuba, he was a son of Gerald E. and Alice G. Swift
Resch. On September 9, 2006, in Leroy he
married the former Cheryl A. DeAngelo who survives. Jeff was a graduate of Cuba
Central Schools Class of 1983. He then
served in the United States Army from 1983-89.
While enlisted he was a nurse at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. After serving, he graduated from Alfred State
University and Alfred University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and became
a Registered Nurse. He worked as a Registered Nurse in various medical
industries for his career. He like
hunting, target shooting at the range, traveling, hiking at Letchworth State
Park, cooking and loved to garden flower and vegetables. He especially enjoyed his dogs, Gretta,
Panzer, and Ava, who were like his children. In addition to his wife Cheryl of
Leroy he is survived by his mother,Alice G. Resch of Cuba; a sister, Cindy
Resch of Cuba; His aunts and uncles including a Special Aunt Katy Harbeck of
Cuba; two nieces, Taylor Johnston and Katy Johnston; A nephew, Steven Johnston:
His mother- in- law, Margaret DeAngelo of Jamestown; A brother-in-law, Phil
DeAngelo of Jamestown. In addition to his father he was predeceased by his
father in law Phil DeAngelo. The family will receive friends at the Mark F.
Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street, Cuba, on
Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 6-8 P.M. only.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 at Our Lady of
Angels Church, 50, South Street, Cuba at 11:00 A.M. The Rev. Dennis J.J. Mancuso will be the
