Virginia M. Foster, 82, of 9314 Middle Road, passed away Thursday (September 7, 2017) at home.
Born in Angelica, April 4, 1935, the daughter of Edward B. and Ethel L. (Travis) Simmons, she was a lifelong area resident. For several years she cleaned houses in Angelica, and also at several of the plants such as Monroe Games, Motorola, Champion Products Inc., and lastly the Angelica Spring Company.
She enjoyed watching Soap Operas, playing Bingo, and calling her family and friends to check in on them. Virginia moved to the Town of Allen in 1972, where she currently lived. She raised her own vegetables, meats, eggs, and spent numerous hours canning to make it through the harsh winters.
She was predeceased by her parents, all her siblings and her husband Frederick Foster Sr. in 2013.
She is survived by 3 sons Timothy Brundage of Belfast, Paul R. Foster of Angelica, Frederick (Dawn) Foster Jr. of Longwood, FL, a daughter Ethel (Lee) Mathena of Sultan, WA, 3 grandchildren Derek Charles Mathena, Ashley Jane Mathena, Malaya Rose Foster, several nieces, nephews and 2 sister in laws.

The family observed a private service on Wednesday (September 13, 2017) at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home in Angelica. Burial was at the Basswood Cemetery in Allen, next to her husband Fred.
