Katherine M. Cottrell “beloved mother and grandmother”
ROULETTE, Pa.---Katherine M. Cottrell, 85, a longtime
resident of Roulette, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 4,
2017.
Born on September 3, 1932 in Bedford, Ohio, she was a
daughter of Robert and Clara Welsh. On
June 18, 1965 in Bedford, she married John S. Cottrell, who preceded her in
death.
Katherine was a graduate of Bedford High School. In her younger years while living in Bedford,
Katherine was employed as a baker.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Roulette
Volunteer Fire Department. She loved her
animals, especially her birds. She
collected angels, enjoyed old country music, and Elvis Presley. A hard worker, she loved to shovel snow and
mow her lawn. She loved to walk. Her
greatest love was her family.
Surviving are four children, Charlotte J. Nicholas, Hazel R.
(Wynn) Duell, John W. Cottrell, and Milford C. “Buddy” Cottrell, all of
Roulette; two grandchildren, Scott A. Duell and Lily R. Duell; seven
great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth B. Welsh of Bedford; and several nieces and
nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Katherine was
predeceased by a grandson, Anthony J. Duell; and three brothers, Bob, Gene, and
Chuck.
In keeping with Katherine’s wishes, there will be no public
visitation. A celebration of her life
will be held on a date and place to be announced.

Volunteer Fire Department, Roulette, PA 16746.
Katherine’s family has entrusted her care to the Virgil L.
