CORNING, N.Y. — In response to white supremacists marching on the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Democratic congressional candidate Rick Gallant issued this statement:
“The racist hate displayed by torch-wielding white supremacists in this march is antithetical to our values as Americans. I stand with the people of Charlottesville, with their elected officials and with the University of Virginia community in condemning the hatred and bigotry of the white supremacists who have converged on their town.”
