Obituary: H. Miriam "Mim" Gray, 89, Bolivar

Bolivar - H. Miriam (Mim) Gray, 89, of 211 North Main St. passed away November 8, 2016 in the Wellsville Manor Care Center. Born on November 3, 1927 in Bolivar she was the daughter of Daniel and Helen Buckhout Gray. Mim was a graduate of SUNY at Fredonia. For thirty-two years, she used her musical talents to teach kindergarten in the Olean and Hamburg School Districts. Miriam was a volunteer for the Allegany Co. Office of the Aging, BRAG Historical Society, and the Pioneer Oil Days committee, and Bolivar food pantry. Her passion was caring for stray dogs and cats. She was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Daniel “Mike”, George “Bill” Gray. Graveside services will be held on Monday April 24, 2017 in Maple Lawn Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Pastor John Boll will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial to SPCA serving Allegany Co. P.O. Box 381 Rte. 19 South Wellsville N.Y. 14895. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Schaffner Funeral Home Inc. Bolivar.
