Serious fire in City of Olean, "CPR in progress" UPDATED

Olean City Firefighters were dispatched at about 10:30 a.m. Sunday to a serious fire at 314 N 7th Street. The initial dispatch was for a kitchen area fire and when the first units arrived, they reported smoke showing with the rear of the home "well involved." Dispatchers were urgently attempting to get two occupants to escape the home.  One radio report indicated a pregnant woman was inside the home. Fire command then requested a general alarm with help from Platoons A,B and C. Portville Fire Department's air truck was needed at the scene while Allegany and Westons Mills were placed on stand by. Fire command then requested an emergency response from ambulances, reporting "CPR in progress." One of two victims was reportedly rushed to Olean General Hospital. No other information was immediately available.
5:28 p.m.: Olean City Fire can not confirm the status of a woman involved in a fire this morning. Officials did say she was rushed to Olean General but there has been no update on her condition. Officials did confirm that CPR was performed. The woman was a resident of the duplex. Officials said a dog died in the fire and a man was also treated at Olean General. The cause remains under investigation but is not initially considered suspicious. Seven paid firefighters attacked the scene and an additional dozen were called in. Fire officials confirmed they were able to quickly knock down the flames, bringing the fire under control within ten minutes.
