PA: Wild police chase ended in Eldred-speeds over 100 mph

A McKean County, PA man is in jail after allegedly leading Pennsylvania troopers on a wild chase this morning. Shortly after 1 a.m., troopers said they attempted to pull over a vehicle operated by Richard J. Babcock, 44 of Port Allegany. The chase was on. Troopers said Babcock lead them on a pursuit through Annin Township before it ended in Eldred Borough. Police said speeds exceeded 100 mph. The chase ended without incident in Eldred after troopers and Otto-Eldred police got the driver to stop. Babcock now faces 20 counts:
Arraigned in District Court at 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Babcock was remanded to the McKean County Jail. Bail was set at $25,000. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 9th.
