PA State Police Blotter - Coudersport Station

  • State police are investigating a theft by deception case involving a Coudersport woman. Troopers said the 65-year-old victim was scammed online for $1,650. Police are investigating.
  • State police investigated a one vehicle crash on State Route 44 in Hebron Township. Troopers said Jennifer M. Clarke, 44 of Shinglehouse was southbound when she lost control while rounding a curve. Her vehicle went off the road, struck a wooden fence and came to rest in a field. The driver was not injured. Clarke was issued a ticket for roadways laned for traffic.
  • Coudersport-based troopers are investigating a burglary at a PennDOT shed on US Route 6 near Denton Hill State Park. Police said entry was made by damaging a door lock.
  • Troopers are investigating a criminal mischief case on Niles Hill Road in Eulalia Township. Troopers said a 21-year-old Coudersport man reported that two tires were slashed on his vehicle.
  • State police are looking into a theft at Sweden Valley Manor in Coudersport. Troopers said a 20-year-old Eldred woman reported that someone swiped her bank debit card. Police are investigating.
  • State police say a Coudersport man who allegedly left the scene of a crash turned himself in the following day. Police said Zakkary Haskins, 26, was driving on PA-44 when the vehicle left the roadway and struck two mailboxes. Haskins was charged with driving with a suspended license and other counts.
