Complete Obituary: Eric J. Luce, 38, Genesee, PA
Eric J. LUCE, 38, of Genesee, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday September 28, 2024 at home. Born November 13, 1985, in Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville NY, he was the son of Ricky Luce and Kathleen Farley Luce. A 2004 Graduate of Whitesville Central School, he was employed by Air Preheater in Wellsville as a machinist for several years and Morgan AM&T in Coudersport for short time. Most recently, Eric helped provide personal care for his former teacher and family friend, Sherry Corneby, before her passing in 2023. His greatest loves and joys were being a father to his son, Ethan, and looking after his mother, Kathy. His love for them was immeasurable. He had a love for the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, and four-wheeling. Eric was a perfectionist, and it was evident with his many projects and hobbies. He had an unparalleled love for his family. Surviving are: his mother, Kathy of Genesee; his son, Ethan J. Luce at home; two brothers, Christopher (Melissa) Estep of Whitesville, NY and Scott Luce of Rochester, NY; aunt, Teresa (Gus) Smith of Millerton; nephew, CJ Estep of Whitesville, NY; nieces, Hailey(Joshua) Munro of Wellsville, NY and Clarissa Richmond (Kylan) of Andover, NY; very close friends that Eric cherished and treasured, Wade Knickerbocker and Joe and Yolanda Smith; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Rick, in 2024; his grandparents, Jane Farley, Henry Farley, Eleanor Farr, and Edwin Luce. Friends may call at Olney-Foust Funeral Homes & Cremation, Crowell Chapel, 296 North Main Street, Wellsville, NY on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, with a Memorial Service following at 11:00 AM. Rev. Dennis Munro will officiate. Burial will be in Genesee Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Teacher’s Pet Rescue, 19 Blackberry Lane, Coudersport, PA 16915 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
