Fire crews quickly contain fire at Andover Laundromat

The Andover Fire Department made quick work of an alarm at the Andover Laundromat located at 14 East Greenwood Street. Fire crews received the alarm at 11:02 a.m. Sunday and first units on scene did report a smoky condition. Although assistance was immediately sent from nearby departments, that help was quickly cancelled. Andover Fire Chief Randy Whitesell told Wellsville Regional News that the fire was confined to a dryer unit. Whitesell said it was nothing 'suspicious,' noting that it was just a "dryer fire." Fire investigators were called to the scene, who apparently confirmed...it was just an accidental fire. Investigators returned to service just after 1 p.m.
