“I chose Alfred State because it is a very local school, and I knew people from back home who had gone there. I started with Math and Science because I knew it would give me a solid foundation for whatever I decided to pursue later.”
The support from professors and the various resources at Alfred State have been key to Cohle's success. “The professors here are great. Learning how to use your resources, especially with the professors, is such an important tool. The math lab is helpful, and I use it all the time. Office hours with professors are also something I have found beneficial.”
Thanks to his coursework, Cohle is now excited to take the next step in his academic journey by transferring into the Construction Management program. “The Construction Management program builds on a lot of the concepts I have learned in my math and physics classes. My associate degree is going to give me a strong foundation to advance in the construction field.”
Cohle also appreciates the close-knit community at Alfred State. “It is a small campus, so everything is close together. It is easier to connect with people here than it would be on a larger campus.”
Alfred State has helped Cohle multiply his opportunities.
