STEUBEN REPORTS FOUR DEATHS RELATED TO COVID-19

BATH – The Steuben County Public Health Department received notification of the death of four individuals who had previously tested positive for COVID-19.  This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths in Steuben County to 153.  All of the individuals passed at area hospitals.

·         Male resident of the Town of Howard, age 76

·         Male resident of the Village of North Hornell, age 79

·         Female resident of the Town of Bath, age 90

·         Male resident of the Town of Erwin, age 93

“The death toll remains heartbreakingly high for our community,” said Public Health Director, Darlene Smith.  “We must all do everything we can to slow the spread and protect our loved ones.”

All residents should continue to monitor themselves for COVID-19 symptoms of fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills or repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, and new loss of taste or smell and contact their healthcare provider for instructions if feeling ill.
