Holiday Raffle Fundraiser Benefits Wellsville Main Street Beautification

WELLSVILLE, NY – Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Wellsville Development Corporation (WDC) will not be holding their annual Holiday Auction in the traditional manner.

“Due to circumstances surrounding the pandemic, the WDC will instead be hosting a Holiday Raffle this year,” said Heather Joyce, WDC President. “The annual Holiday Auction is our largest fundraising event during the year, so we altered it a bit instead of canceling it all together.”

“Here is how it works,” said Joyce, “Donate $20, receive a ticket, and your ticket will be entered into the “hat”. On the night of the event, we will draw from two “hats” – one revealing which prize is being raffled and one revealing who the winner of that prize is. Winners will be drawn live at 6pm, Thursday, December 3, 2020 online via Facebook Live,” said Joyce. “You do not have to be present online to win, however bonus prizes will be given if you are. All prize winners will be contacted post-raffle regarding how/where to pick up their prize.”

Raffle items include: Weber grill from Brand Name Appliance, INIS gift set from From The Hart, dance lessons from Martelle Dance Academy, Thermos grill & propane tank from Fassett Lane Lumber, made-to-order cake from Miss. Nancy at the Duke House Tea Room & Bakery, holiday lantern from Fisher’s Pharmacy, Cutco knife set from Otis Eastern Service, LLC., Echo Dot kit, dino & animal kids yoga bundles, Kristy Hall painting & print, insulated wine tote (2 tumblers & 2 bottles of wine), books-to-movies bundle, Kindle Paperwhite e-reader w/ cover & gift card, handmade bag & lanyard by Geralyn Gough, Yeti cooler, family game night basket, and more! If you have an item or service you would like to donate, please email wlsvdevelopmentcorp@gmail.com.

Tickets are currently on sale for $20 each and are available at First Citizens Community Bank (Main Street, Wellsville), from any WDC board member, or online at wlsvdevelopmentcorp.ticketleap.com/virtual-holiday-raffle.

Event proceeds will be used to further the beautification of Wellsville’s Main Street through flowers and planters, holiday lights, and the Betterment & Beautification Mini Grant Program.
