Farmersville: Landlord shoots tenant during a dispute

On July 3, 2020, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) out of SP Machias arrested Daniel L. Langdon Jr., 51 of Little Valley, NY for Attempted Murder (A-Felony) and Assault 1st degree with intent to cause serious injury with a weapon.
On July 3, 2020 at 6:05 P.M., Troopers out of SP Machias responded to State Route 98 in the town of Farmersville for a male with multiple gunshot wounds.  Further investigation revealed that the landlord of the property, Langdon, allegedly got into a physical altercation with the 40-year-old male tenant.  During the altercation, Langdon pulled a legally owned 9mm pistol and shot the victim multiple times. The victim was air lifted to Erie County Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.  Langdon was arrested and processed at SP Machias.
Langdon was arraigned and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail on $25,000 cash bail.
