On Friday July 3rd, New York State Police canvassed local businesses in Steuben County and uncovered two separate incidents where alcohol was sold to a minor person. Of the 10 businesses that were canvassed, the Rite Aid located at 100 Cohocton Street in Corning and the 7-11 on 40 Dennison Parkway in the City Corning were found to not be in compliance with NYS law that pertain to the sale of acholic beverages to persons under the age of 21. The clerks who sold the alcohol at both businesses will be arrested for providing alcohol to a person under the age of 21.
