The criminal case against the former treasurer of the
Genesee (PA) fire and ambulance department has been delayed until September 3rd.
Jury selection had been set for July 2nd, but it was delayed. In
fact, since charges were filed in June 2019, they have been plenty of
postponements. A year ago, Scott Luce, 36, posted $100,000 bail and was released from the
Potter County jail. He is accused of stealing more than $93,000 from the
volunteer agency. Pennsylvania State Police leveled 128 felony and misdemeanor
charges against Luce. He was previously convicted of stealing funds from the
Independence Emergency Squad. In that case he was ordered to make restitution.
According to a court docket summary, Luce is represented by Jay David Carr. The
case is being prosecuted by Potter County District Attorney Andy Watson.
