Rinker seeks re-election as Allegany County Coroner

Political Information Supplied-
To the voters of Allegany County:
For those of you wondering, I AM running for RE-ELECTION for Allegany County Coroner and will be on the ballot, along with Herb Williams, Maynard Baker, Dylan Foust, and Chester Gosper.  There are currently five people running for four elected positions, following the retirement of Ted Crowell of Wellsville.  Being coroner is an elected position in our county that is paid per diem; there is no salary.  We only get paid if we respond to a case. Coroners in our county do not receive health insurance.  We do have the option of paying into state retirement, but will probably never accumulate enough to draw any type of worthwhile pension.  All candidates for the open positions are licensed funeral directors, which is not a requirement, but is the most logical professional to fill each of the posts.
If re-elected, I will continue to serve our community with the same professionalism and compassion that I have given to families for the past eleven years, as both a funeral director and coroner.  I do not have signs for your yard; I have not needed them in the past, and do not feel they are necessary now.  It is my hope that my actions and reputation speak for me and my ability to carry out the duties required as your coroner. I would appreciate your vote for Mark Rinker to continue serving as your Allegany County Coroner.  Please get out and vote on Tuesday, November 5, 2019!
