Steuben Sheriff issues press release on crash that killed four people

Fatal Vehicle Crash CR 76
Steuben County Sheriff Jim Allard reports that on October 12, 2019, deputies responded to a report of a one vehicle crash on County Route 76 in the Town of Pulteney, New York. The subsequent investigation revealed that at about 1:15a.m., a vehicle containing five occupants was travelling north on County Route 76. The vehicle left the roadway, striking a tree. As a result of this crash, four people died and a fifth was flown to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment and later released.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a full investigation of this incident including a crash reconstruction. County Route 76 was closed for approximately ten hours on Saturday as investigators gathered physical evidence and documented the scene. The investigation is still active and further updates will be issued as the investigation is completed.
Sheriff Allard thanks the New York State Police, the Pulteney Volunteer Fire Company, Hammondsport Ambulance and Prattsburgh Protective Volunteer Fire Department for their assistance in this investigation.
Occupants of the vehicle were:
Dustin W. Drake, age 30, of Prattsburgh, New York; treated and later released from Strong Memorial Hospital.
The following were pronounced deceased at the scene:
Korbie L. Higgins, age 28, of Bath, New York
Coy F. Miner, age 26, of Hammondsport, New York
Adam P. Bellamy, age 29, of Ohio and Pulteney, New York
Nicole L. Wise, age 25, of Prattsburgh, New York
