Masked man enters Wellsville home- Police, "this isn't the world we all lived in 20 years ago"

Wellsville Police arrested Zackery M. Tesson, age 31 of Wellsville, following an early morning break-in at a Grover Street residence. At 3:52 a.m. Wellsville Police were dispatched to a home where Tesson allegedly entered wearing a black ski mask and carrying a backpack full of tools and knives. He was confronted by the two residents after he entered their bedroom. One woman struggled with the suspect to bring him down.  Tesson was taken into custody by Wellsville Police while attempting to flee the residence on foot.  Tesson was charged with Burglary 2nd (Class C Felony) and Possession of Burglar Tools. He was processed and arraigned before Associate Wellsville Village Justice Walsh.  Tesson was committed to the Allegany County Jail on $2,500.00 cash bail or $5,000.00 property bond. He is due back in Wellsville Village Court this afternoon.  Wellsville Police are asking local residents to check their properties for any missing items from their property, as they recovered items that did not belong to the homeowners where the break-in took place.  Contact the Wellsville Police Department at (585) 593-5600 to file a report.  Wellsville Police Lt. Josh Kear says "it's a good idea to take every precaution...this isn't the world we all lived in twenty years ago."
