The first official party of the holiday season kicks off on Saturday, November 18th, at 7:00 PM with “A Many Splendored Evening” hosted by The Cuba Chamber of Commerce. This fundraiser benefits the Cuba-Rushford Toys for Kids program which is part of the annual Holiday Assistance Program. Guests will enjoy a delightful evening of wine tastings, delicious appetizers and desserts along with the opportunity to bid on holiday wreaths, trees, decorations and gift baskets. The evening also includes raffles, a 50-50 drawing, and Christmas music. Back by popular demand is a prime rib raffle! Tickets for the event are $15 and include 2 glasses of wine or punch, as well as homemade desserts. After that, classic country music fans won’t want to miss “Branson on the Road! Christmas Style”, on Sunday November 26th, at 3:00 PM. The group visited Cuba in May of this year, and due to their popularity, The Palmer decided to bring them back for their Christmas show. Branson On The Road® has over 20 years of experience of performing at the top theatres in Branson on the famous 76 Country Music Boulevard (known as "The Strip"), and is the first national touring show named for the famous city. The show delivers the Branson traditions of good, clean, family fun wherever they go...and they go all over the US and beyond...and Branson "Christmas" On The Road® is a wonderful way to kick off your holiday season! On Saturday December 2nd, at 2:00 PM, join us for Charles Dickens: A Christmas Carol. Come and see Mike Randall as Charles Dickens, as he presents his most popular holiday tale: A Christmas Carol! This is NOT a reading! Mr. Dickens acts out more than 25 characters just the way he presented the story on his popular tours all over the world in the 1800's. Tickets to this show are $10.
Sunday December 3rd, at 2:00 PM, Cuba Celebrates Christmas! Come and join us for some old and new holiday songs performed by many local talented performers! Refreshments available, and admission is by donation.
Our monthly acoustic open mic night, “holiday edition”, takes place on Thursday December 7th at 6:00 PM. Open to anyone wanting to come down and play acoustic musical offerings (all live music, no singing along with a track). Doors open at 5:30 PM for performer sign-up, and performances run until around 10 PM. Holiday music not required, but encouraged for this month! This is a monthly free event!
Then on Saturday, December 9th, at 7:00 PM, the Inter Community Chorus presents the Christmas Cantata “Sing Joy to All The World”. Admission to this show is by donation.
Join us on Sunday, December 10th, at 2:00 PM for Ron & Nancy OneSong in concert, performing seasonal favorites and vintage country classics. Ron and Nancy OneSong specialize in traditional American music, including vintage country, bluegrass, western and gospel, with a repertoire of several thousand songs encompassing many styles and eras. Traditional country music just the way you remember it with your favorites from artists such as Hank Sr,, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Merle Haggard, George Jones and many more! Be sure to bring your requests! Presale tickets are $12, $15 day of the show.
We step away from the Christmas theme for one evening, as we host Pearl City Jazz on Friday December 15th at 7:00 PM. Pearl City Jazz is a 17 piece Big Band with members from the Jamestown NY. and Warren PA. area. The band is led by Ralph "Razz" Rassmussen. The band plays a variety of big band and jazz pieces including swing, dance and contemporary jazz works. Admission is by donation. Dance Arts Olean will be offering Basic East Coast Swing Dance Lessons from 6:30 - 7:30 PM prior to this event!! The venue will be set up in a bistro style seating to accommodate dancing. Adult beverages and other refreshments will be available.

Professional theatre group Enchante Cabaret brings their holiday comedy, “All She Wants for Christmas”, to The Palmer on Saturday December 16th at 7:00 PM. It's Christmas Eve and Mrs Claus is home with the elves awaiting the return of Santa. While baking (burning) her famous cookies she reminisces about all of the things that make this season her favorite; especially the MUSIC. Mrs Claus gives us the in's and out's of all the daily operations of Santa's workshop. All of the holiday cheer is quickly put aside as Santa is caught in a terrible Winter storm threatening his return home for the first time EVER! This fun and classy Christmas show is packed with all of your holiday favorite songs and a few Broadway hits too! Is Santa going to return to Mrs Claus in one piece? Can Mrs Claus keep it together or will the Elves continue to act out in rebellion? Come and share your holidays with the woman who runs the show and experience the true meaning of Christmas through the eyes of Mrs Claus. Tickets are $14 presale, and $17 at the door.
Then, on Sunday, December 17th, at 4:00 PM the Olean Barbershoppers present their 3rd Annual Friends & Family Christmas Show. The Olean Barbershop Chorus is an a cappella chorus made up of men from around the area (Friendship to Franklinville, Belfast to Bradford, Hinsdale and Olean, and many points in between.) The chorus recently celebrated its 70th consecutive annual show, a program dedicated to celebrating music in the barbershop style, with a goal to further the influence of barbershop singing and service through song. Admission to this show is by donation.
We close out 2017 with not Norman’s New Year’s Eve Gala on Sunday December 31st at 8:00 PM. Join us for music, dancing, light refreshments, noisemakers & hats, and of course a ball drop. There will also be a cash bar with beer and wine. Tickets are $20 per person.
