Dalton man faces drug charges


INTERSTATE 390: Livingston County Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty reports the arrest of a Dalton man after a traffic stop on Interstate 390. On September 5, 2017 at approximately 5:10 p.m., Deputy Brandan Flickner who is a member of the STOP DWI Unit was assigned to the Operation Safe Interstate Initiative and stopped a vehicle on Interstate 390 after observing vehicle and traffic law violations.

The Deputy Sheriff found the driver, 26 year old Travis S. Flint, was allegedly exhibiting signs of being under the influence of drugs. Deputy Flickner began a roadside DWI investigation which resulted in Flint being arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs.  During the course of the roadside investigation Flint was allegedly found to be in possession of numerous glassine bags and vials of Fentanyl, a Xanax pill, and 9 hypodermic needles.
Flint was additionally charged with 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument.
Flint was turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention.
Flint was later arraigned in the Town of Groveland Court before Justice Livingston.  The Judge remanded Flint to the custody of the Sheriff on $1,000 cash or $2,000 bond.
