Allegany County: Legislature primed to spend $420,000 for 911 Center upgrades

The Allegany County Legislature will vote on Monday to invest $420,000 for the 911 Center. One lawmaker has already expressed concern over the project, which will likely be approved. Below is a copy of the resolution as well as supporting information provided to legislators.
ESTABLISHING A 2017 CAPITAL PROJECT ACCOUNT FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE 911 COMPUTER AIDED DISPATCH (CAD); BUDGET TRANSFER FOR
2017 FUNDING FOR SUCH CAPITAL ACCOUNT AND
APPROVING CONTRACT AMENDMENT FOR NEW SYSTEM

            RESOLVED:
                1. A Capital Project Account, designated as Account H3030, Public Safety 911 - CAD, is hereby established.
            2. That the sum of $228,000 is transferred from Account No. A889.0005 (911 Surcharge Reserve) to Capital Account No. H3030(Capital Project – Public Safety 911 CAD), to replace the 911 CAD.
            3. That the Contract Amendment between the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office and Tyler Technologies for the replacement of the 911 CAD, is approved.
            4. That in addition to the Allegany County Sheriff, the Chairman of this Board is authorized to execute such Contract Amendment.
