Today is the 55th Variety Kids Telethon. Happening now at the Wellsville Elks, a team of student volunteers are ready to take your pledge or walk-in donations. Pledges are accepted at 585-593-5430 or stop at the Wellsville Elks at 77 East Pearl Street until 7 p.m. today.
This is the 38th consecutive year the Elks have partnered with the Wellsville Area Satellite of the Variety Club to help the sick and handicapped children of Western New York and Northern Pennsylvania.
Satellite Chairman Tim Colligan offered this comment from the Facebook page of his nephew, Scott Archambault: This weekend is the Variety Club Telethon. My cousin Shane (who passed away 14 years ago) was one of the most amazing people on the planet, and the Variety Club helped me have as much time with him as I did.
