Potter County: Wildlife Conservation Officer Injured When Tree Falls On His Vehicle On Rt. 872

Potter County Wildlife Conservation Officer Mark S. Fair, 53, was injured Wednesday afternoon about 2:47 p.m. when a large tree fell on the hood and windshield of his 2014 Ford Explorer. After the initial impact, the vehicle continued over an embankment on the northbound side where it impacted another tree head on.
Coudersport Volunteer Fire Dept. and Medic 7 extricated Fair from the vehicle and he was transported by Coudersport Ambulance to Cole Memorial Hospital and then transferred to another facility. He was wearing his seatbelt. The crash occurred near the Heth Road on Route 872, known as Dividing Ridge Road. State Police, who investigated the crash, did not list the severity of his injuries on the report but initial reports from the scene indicated he had suffered head injuries.
