Rep. Reed media call summary-corrected

Congressman Tom Reed (R-Corning) held his weekly media call today. In his introduction, he said he would "continue optimism...and...will listen.: Reed wants "tax reform, health care repeal...and cooperation."
  1. Reporter asked about the potential 18 million who will lose health care if the Affordable Care Act is repealed. Reed said ...."the Congressional Budget Office report is flawed
  2. Reporter asked if Reed was concerned about Trump appointee's. Reed said he is "impressed by the quality" of those recommended. He has no "pause."
  3. Reporter asked who Reed has invited to inauguration. Reed said "family...and hundreds who have received tickets...never thought I'd be in this position today"....looks forward to a "change in culture."
  4. Reporter-what cuts do you seek? Reed: "government waste, fraud and abuse...government efficiency."
  5. Reporter-are you concerned that Dems won't attend. Reed: "I don't think its helpful...(Trump) will work with anybody." Concerned about those who speak ill.
