Troopers from Bath make "large" heroin bust


New York State Troopers from the Bath and N. Hornell barracks, while engaged in a traffic enforcement detail on I-86 in the Savona area, arrested an Elmira man on a drug charge. Corey M. Prettyman, age 29, of 403 Franklin St., Apt. B, Elmira, N.Y., was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a V&T law violation.  Investigation revealed that Prettyman was allegedly in possession of a "large" quantity of heroin, which was packaged for sale.  State Police Senior Investigator Curt Eaton told us that Prettyman was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, 3rd degree, (possession with intent to sell), which is a class B Felony. Prettyman was arraigned before Village of Savona Justice Michael Horton, and remanded to the Steuben Co. Jail in lieu of $50,000.00 cash bail/$100,000.00 property bond.  He is scheduled to reappear in the Village of Savona Court on 02/20/17 at 8:30 a.m.
