Norma J. Hyatt, 90, of Quarryville, PA, formerly of Lock
Haven and Ulysses, died Thursday, July 9, 2020.
Born April 8, 1930, in Kinzers, she was the daughter of Carl and Mary
Rimmey Hohman. On April 29, 1950, in
Elkton, MD, she married Jay W. Hyatt, who predeceased her on December 31,
2005. An LPN, she was employed by
Chester County Hospital and Pocopson Home, both in West Chester, and retired
from Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport in 1988. Norma was a member of Calvary Baptist Church
in Jersey Shore and a former member of Bible Union Church in West Bingham.
Surviving are: two
daughters, Doreen (Richard) Van Yperen of Cumming, GA and Shirley Hyatt of West
Chester, PA; a daughter-in-law, Dianne
(David) Swenson of West Grove, PA; eight
grandchildren; 21
great-grandchildren; nieces and
nephews. In addition to her husband, she
was predeceased by a son, James Hyatt, on November 10, 2005; and two siblings, Carl Hohman, Jr. and Amy
Greenfield.
Friends may call at Olney-Foust Funeral Homes &
Crematory, Ulysses on Friday, July 17, 2020 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., with Funeral
Services following at 2:00 p.m. CDC and
PA Department of Health guidelines apply.
Rev. Jeffrey P. Howell will officiate.
Burial will be in Ulysses Cemetery.
