Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 1:13 p.m.

SHERIFF’S OFFICE
Request to Fill Part-Time Cook
Sheriff Whitney requested permission to fill one part-time
Cook (Non-Union, Job Class 33, Step: Base). This position is responsible for the Jail
kitchen and will be filling an empty part-time cook position. The annual salary
of this position is $14,353.75 with an estimated 754 hours per year. This
position is not eligible for benefits and is funded 100 percent with County
dollars. This request was approved on a motion made by Legislator Dibble,
seconded by Legislator Hopkins, and carried. Refer to Ways & Means
Request to Fill Deputy Sheriff Position
Sheriff Whitney requested permission to fill one full-time
Deputy Sheriff (Council 82 Bargaining Unit, Job Class 66, Step: Base) and all
subsequent vacancies created by promoting a Corrections Officer to Deputy Sheriff.
This position is needed due to a Deputy Sheriff returning to Correction Officer
status. The annual salary of this position is $42,911.44 with benefits estimated
at $17,155.99. This position is funded 100 percent with County dollars. This
request was approved on a motion made by Legislator Havey, seconded by
Legislator Decker, and carried. Refer to Ways & Means
Approval of Jail Physician Agreement with Dr. Steven
Collins
Sheriff Whitney requested a resolution approving the Jail
Physician agreement with Dr. Steven Collins. This agreement is necessary to
provide the appropriate medical care to our inmates per Commission of
Corrections regulations. The fiscal impact is $20,000 and has been budgeted.
This request was approved on a motion made by Legislator Dibble, seconded by Legislator Hopkins, and carried. Prepare Resolution
Approval of Practice Agreement
Sheriff Whitney requested a resolution approving the
Practice agreement between Dr. Steven Collins and Nurse Practitioner Cheryl
Ralyea. This agreement is necessary to provide the appropriate medical care to
our inmates per Commission of Corrections regulations. Legislator Graves asked
if there is a dollar amount attached to this agreement. Sheriff Whitney stated
no, it is just the agreement as Dr. Collins needs to oversee her. This request
was approved on a motion made by Legislator Hopkins, seconded by Legislator
Dibble, and carried. Prepare Resolution
Alfred Tower
Legislator Dibble asked if there are any updates on the
Alfred Tower. County Administrator Knapp stated they are looking at power
easements right now, and we are making progress.

committee, the meeting was adjourned at 1:18 p.m. following a motion by
Legislator Havey, seconded by Legislator Dibble, and carried.
